Desiree
Desiree is a strong, resilient woman who believes that experience is the best teacher. She has taken every failure in her life and used them as a stepping stone to success. She is always keen to learn and believes that with age and experience comes wisdom. Having grown up in a disadvantaged background, she ensures that no opportunity is wasted. This is evident in her life, as she juggles family life, business, writing, and empowering others.

About Desiree
She is a very optimistic individual who is not afraid to take on any challenge. Her disadvantaged upbringing heightened her determination to make a success of her life. After having exceled in matric, she studied at the Springfield College of Education, where she received a full scholarship to study teaching.
Her yearning for travel led her to change direction and move into the tourism sector. She was employed by a local tourism company where she was given the opportunity to travel extensively, which helped broaden her knowledge within the industry. Her passion for travel and sheer determination of excellence was the driving force that motivated her to start her own company. Her tenacity, resilience and strong biblical grounding is the reason for her positive outlook on life. Desiree strongly believes in the motto” If I fall I will rise up even stronger.”
Due to the growing need for empowerment of woman within the community, she started a support group called “Woman Support Woman”. She uses this platform to uplift and motivate woman within the community.
She is grounded in her Christian belief and combined with her vast knowledge of biblical lessons and her own personal life experience she writes daily inspirational messages, which is shared on her social media platform.
Desiree also has a keen fashion sense and loves giving fashion tips, even when it’s not required. If she is not out shopping for the latest fashion trends, she is busy in the kitchen “cooking up a storm.” Her love for experimenting in the kitchen with different cuisines started at an early age. Her cooking skills is definitely worth bragging about, as her much loved family recipe was featured in a French cooking magazine, when a French food critic and journalist visited her home. She currently offers cooking lessons to tourists wanting to learn how to prepare delicious Indian cuisine.
She is also an aspiring author and currently in the process of publishing her first book.
She firmly believes that in this journey called life, you are given the daily opportunity to be the best that you can. You can either seize this opportunity or let it pass you by.

Lavender
Growing lavender is extremely rewarding. It is scarce that so many features molds in one plant. True to its name, it is aesthetically pleasing to look at and has an intoxicating fragrance. It’s remarkable how a plant of that caliber is so resilient to flourish in full sunlight. However, the question remains can it grow…
