About Dorothy T

Dorothy is enjoying her stepping down years by attaining new skills and hobbies, sharing her home with her family and cats, entertaining friends, and taking a keen interest in the internet while exploring its endless possibilities, and keeping up to date with new and interesting global trends and activities.

During her extensive career she worked in administration, accounting, as a bank teller, and an events planner and project leader for a large coal mining company.  She also had the opportunity to work with the aged where she learnt patience, became a good listener and acquired responsiveness to the elderly.  These were her most creative and fun filled working years, when she produced and directed plays and sketches for cultural festivals, planned adventurous outings, and discovered means to entertain and preserve their interests to continue being active in their golden years.

At the close of her working era, Dorothy spent 5 very fulfilling years pursuing her passion to teach.  She opened a reading clinic, and taught children of various ages to become better and more effective readers.   Under her guidance and mentorship these children became outstanding educational achievers, and this phase was most gratifying.

Dorothy is now looking forward to the next chapter of her life’s journey by embracing new avenues and experiences to keep up with the ever changing progress of our world.
