Liesl is a qualified archaeologist, mom, researcher, and writer. Her interests are boundless, and she is always ready for a challenge and dedicated to all tasks. Research and gaining new knowledge are what get her going.
Born and raised in the Western Cape, South Africa, Liesl found her passion in studying the ancient cultures of southern Africa, focusing on the Iron Age. Her studies enabled her to travel extensively in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana discovering and digging around in ancient settlements.
Through studying, Liesl learned that her passions lay in research and writing, focusing on fact-finding and relaying information in a fun but thorough fashion. Becoming a mom showed Liesl that there is still so much out there that she needs to learn!
Liesl loves to sit back and read a good book or watch her favorite television series when not focusing on her family. Her other interests include cooking and baking, gardening, nature, animals, travel, and researching new and exciting topics on just about anything.
