Tiah is the award-winning author of two novels, including This Day (2014, Modjaji), and numerous short stories.
She freelances for a variety of publications and teaches writing to all ages.
She was born and raised in the United States, growing up in small-town Oregon. She got the travel bug at twenty-one when her Californian university offered her a chance to study at the University of Cape Town.
After obtaining her BA in English and philosophy, she moved to the United Kingdom. She lived there for nearly a decade, exploring the rest of Europe at every opportunity. In 2008 she moved to the South African Garden Route with her family. There, they acquired a plethora of animals.
She enjoys many activities, including horse riding, belly dancing, and zipping along as a pillion on motorcycles. She and her daughter are also volunteers at their local animal shelter. As an avid bookworm, she always wants to know what you are reading.
